March on the Farm

We arrived home from Hawaii in the first week of March and I am still blown away by how unseasonably warm it has been here this month. Normally we are still digging ourselves out from underneath a blanket of snow (which still could very well happen if I am being honest!) and here we are, the end of the month and enjoying +20 (C) weather, perennials are pushing their way up in the garden beds, robins and meadowlarks wake us up every morning with their beautiful songs and sing us to sleep again every night. The farm machinery has been brought out of storage and the boys have been working on maintaining it for another growing year and when Hudson naps, I am potting up tomato plants grown from seed and sowing more annuals on my potting bench to place out in the garden in just a few weeks! If the weather keeps up like this, we’ll be back out in the field in no time and I for one can hardly wait!! Making this month end collage was honestly such a fun time for me. I loved looking back on how much has happened in just 31 days! Every photo here is a record of my life..and I find that to be a very special thing. All I know for sure is that after compiling these collages..I am a very, very blessed woman and feel so lucky and grateful to live where I live and do what I do! Here is a closer look at March here on our farm..

as you can see, we had a mix of snow and sunshine..some days were so downright chilly you had to bundle yourself completely up just to run an outside errand while other days we could wear t-shirts outside and be completely comfortable!! Crazy weather but definitely a very full and fun month for us here!March blog book 2March blog book 3
